Transport from airport provided, followed by dinner and discussion of your program.

DAY 1:

​

We will enjoy a continental breakfast, city tour, then go to the port and board the boat. Lunch and dinner will be served in transit. After arrival, we will either walk or take a canoe farther into the jungle in search of the perfect place to set up our camp. We will then build our shelter to sleep in and spend the night.

DAY 2:

​

After breakfast, we will go out and explore the jungle. We will see different kinds of monkeys, birds, insects and other wildlife. We will also go for a fishing excursion to learn and try different techniques used by the natives when securing food.

We will practice making fire and then cook our dinner.

DAY 3:

​

After breakfast at camp, we will set out in search of colpas or special places, where animals gather to eat and drink. After our dinner, we will go out for a night expedition and look for tarantulas, scorpions and the large variety of snakes the jungle has to offer at night.

DAY 4:

​

After breakfast, we will begin our way back towards the boat. On the way, either by canoe or walking, we will be visiting some villages and try some of the typical beverages made in the jungle.

You will return to Iquitos between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the late afternoon.
